|
Bloomington shortstop Onye Mahusay was a significant contributor in his team's 8-4 triumph over the Scranton Supernovas. He went 2 for 3 with a double and 2 walks, while scoring 2 runs for Bloomington. Leon Alfons earned the win for Bloomington. He lasted 5 innings, allowing 3 earned runs on 4 hits, while striking out 4. With the win, he raised his record to 2-1. The Supernovas fall to 8-10 and continue their unimpressive start to the 2039 season.
The Longnecks benefited from a costly error in the top of the sixth. With Cornell MacDonald at bat and Bloomington leading 5-4, the Scranton miscue allowed Bloomington to plate 2 and take the lead, 7-4.
