Golden Cranes Deal Redlegs 12-6 Setback
It was a good time at Crane Field, where fans came to watch the Sacramento Redlegs and Santa Barbara Golden Cranes get after it.

The Sacramento Redlegs got a sterling performance from third baseman Víctor Bojórquez, but the Golden Cranes still prevailed, 12-6. Bojórquez was named the player of the game in a losing cause. He was 3-4 with a home run and a triple, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Santa Barbara reliever Ángel Ruíz picked up the win to move to 1-0. Hwen-thiang Goei suffered the loss.

António Amaya aided the Santa Barbara cause with a run-scoring single in the bottom of the sixth. For the game, the designated hitter was 1-5.

"We got the victory," said Amaya. "That's all that matters at the end of the day."

The win gives Santa Barbara a record of 8-9.
