Victory Over Golden Cranes Takes Brinkley to 11-4
|
Fans who gathered at Belugas Ballpark saw a good contest between the Brinkley Belugas and Santa Barbara Golden Cranes.
Brinkley Belugas starter John Núñes was in fine form against the Santa Barbara Golden Cranes at Belugas Ballpark, leading his team to a 5-3 win. Brinkley reliever Rafael Bernal was the winner. His record is now 2-0. Seung-soo Yi took the loss.
Núñes contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Brinkley in the bottom of the sixth. With his team trailing 3-1, Núñes took a fastball from Seung-soo Yi and stroked the home run to left. His 1st home run of the season allowed the Belugas to leap in front, 4-3.
"The vibe's good," said Brinkley manager José Reyes. "We've got to keep it going."
The Belugas, now 11-4, have been red hot.
