The Bloomington Longnecks and Sacramento Redlegs put on quite a show at Sacramento Sanitation Station.
Gabe Cain did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the Sacramento Redlegs from losing, 7-4, to the Bloomington Longnecks at Sacramento Sanitation Station. Cain went 3 for 5 with a home run and a double. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Marcos Germán picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 2-0. Hwa-pyung Yi was tagged with the loss.
The most important at-bat for Bloomington came in the top of the tenth inning. With one out, Alfonso Nazario reached on an error by the left fielder, driving in 1 run, putting Bloomington up, 5-4.
"I like our resilience," said Nazario.
The loss drops Sacramento to 3-6.
