Supernovas Use Late-Game Magic to Beat Golden Cranes
|
A 4-RBI performance from the 24-year old first baseman Tim Gonzáles helped the Scranton Supernovas beat the Santa Barbara Golden Cranes, 8-5. The winner was Jon King in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Takejiro Masuda took the loss. With the loss, Santa Barbara drops to 4-5.
The clutch at-bat in the bottom of the ninth belonged to Gonzáles. Facing Takejiro Masuda with runners on 1st and 2nd, the Scranton designated hitter had a 3-run home run. Game over, walk-off style!
"We'll savor this win," Gonzáles told the Scranton Daily, "then get ready for the next game."
