Rodríguez Shines in Supernovas Win
The Scranton Supernovas beat the Santa Barbara Golden Cranes, 14-7, at Nuclear Stadium. The Supernovas got a fine performance from catcher José Rodríguez, who captured player of the game honors. He was 2 for 3 with a home run, a walk, and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 4 times and driving in 2. Scranton reliever José González picked up the win, upping his record to 2-0. Alan Halsall absorbed the loss. The loss drops Santa Barbara to 3-4.

Scranton took a 8-5 lead on Marc Cadiou's 12th hit of the season. The 2-run single, which Cadiou hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Santa Barbara pitcher Ricardo Ruíz shaking his head.

"We swung the bats good throughout the lineup," said Scranton skipper Andha Gangulee.
