Brinkley got an elite performance from starting pitcher José Pacheco in taking a 4-1 decision over the Sacramento Redlegs. Brinkley, at 2-0, is off to a blistering start.
The Belugas grabbed the lead in the bottom of the sixth. With two out, Baio Jianbua hit a 3-run home run off Julius Spry, putting Brinkley in front, 4-0. For Jianbua, it was his 1st home run of the season.
"It was a tough night at the plate," said Sacramento manager Rich Hunter.
