Fighting Dachsunds Turn Back Indianapolis, 4-3
The Ellenburg Fighting Dachsunds topped the Indianapolis Racers, 4-3, in M3L Triple A action at Speedway Field. The player of the game was Ellenburg pitcher Jeff McDermott. Ellenburg reliever Jason Huggins got the win, raising his record to 4-3. Wiley Washington was tagged with the loss. Tim Sandaele converted his 7th save in 11 tries.

Ellenburg used a timely hit from Jorge Japón to get the win. The pinch hitter delivered a run-scoring triple in the top of the ninth inning to put the Fighting Dachsunds on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

McDermott told a Ellenburg Daily reporter that he was "more than satisfied" with the win.

The Fighting Dachsunds have now won 5 straight.
