Vanblarcom Belts 5 Hits
|
Dan Vanblarcom was sizzling at the plate today. The Pawnee first baseman blistered the Sioux Falls Red Pandas for 5 hits in 7 at-bats, but couldn't prevent his club from falling to a 11-10 defeat.
"Vanblarcom was too tough to get out today," Red Pandas skipper Todd England said in his postgame interview. "No matter what we threw him, he hit it. And he hit some good pitches, too. But hey, I don't mind if every game somebody gets 5 hits off us, as long as we win."
Dan Vanblarcom hit an RBI single in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th, flied out in the 8th, grounded out in the 10th and singled in the 13th.
To date this season Vanblarcom is hitting .283 with 13 home runs.
