BC Pull Back to .500 With Win Over Racers
|
Houston starter Joel Walden had a strong outing against the Indianapolis Racers at Speedway Field. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 4-2 win. Walden picked up the win for Houston, going 7.2 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 7 hits. He now sports a record of 6-9. Francisco Esposo recorded the save for Houston, his 3rd of the season.
Ken Rodríguez drew 1 walk in 4 plate appearances for Houston. The 24-year old catcher had a key at-bat in the top of the seventh. With one out and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he broke a 2-2 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Odmar van Hees. It was his 12th RBI of the season.
