Silver Sox Trip Patriots in Extras
|
Chicago starter Rhys Maskell had a strong outing against the Boston Patriots at Dunkin Donuts Park. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 3-2 win. Chicago reliever Shang-de Fu picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Bradley Roth absorbed the loss. Eugenio Piñeiro sewed up the save, his 3rd.
Chicago took a 3-2 lead on Gerrie Bond's 53rd hit of the season. The run-scoring single, which Bond hit in the top of the 11th, left Boston pitcher Bradley Roth visibly frustrated.
"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Maskell told the Chicago Daily.
Chicago is 4th in the Premier League with a record of 23-15.
