The Indianapolis Racers beat the Sioux Falls Red Pandas, 9-2, at The Bamboo Forest. Indianapolis shortstop Axel Ruschmeyer earned player of the game honors with an outstanding performance. He was 2-3 with a double, a walk, and was hit by a pitch. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. Indianapolis reliever Thomas Careless picked up the win to move to 4-1. António Castillo suffered the loss. Indianapolis is now 58-35, 4 games up in the Menard's AAA.

It could have been a different outcome for Indianapolis, had it not been for Luis Aranda, the 27-year old shortstop . Aranda contributed a run-scoring hit-by-pitch in the top of the second inning to put Indianapolis up, 3-1.

"Our guys are never satisfied," said Indianapolis manager Ramón Pantoja.
