Extra-Inning Win by Dogfish Head over Coyotes
|
The Milton Dogfish Head did just enough to sneak past the Hamilton Coyotes, 6-5, at Milton Corner Tavern. Milton second baseman Arnie Taylor earned player of the game honors. The winner was Milton reliever Ricky O'Toole, now 4-0. The loser was Chris Kuhn. The Coyotes, now 35-54, have lost 4 in a row.
The game was at a stalemate until designated hitter Juan Carlos Santos came to bat in the bottom of the 11th. Facing Hamilton pitcher Chris Kuhn, he hit a first pitch cutter for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Milton on top, 6-5.
"It's great to get the crowd pumped up," Santos said.
