With designated hitter Yao-pang Chiang leading the charge, the Sioux Falls Red Pandas defeated the Hamilton Coyotes, 11-6, at The Bamboo Forest. Chiang was 2-4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 3 runs and drove in 2. The Red Pandas go to 46-41, putting them 5th in the Menard's AAA.
Sergio Vásquez was 1 for 4 with a walk for Sioux Falls. The 34-year old third baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the seventh. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 6-6 tie with a run-scoring walk off Guy Walters. It was his 14th walk of the season.
"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Chiang said after the game.
