Sutton Excels, But Racers Win
The first-place Indianapolis Racers welcomed Milton to Speedway Field.

The Milton Dogfish Head got a sterling performance from center fielder Toby Sutton, but the Racers still prevailed, 14-11. Sutton was named the player of the game in a losing cause. He was 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 4. Indianapolis reliever Markus Martin picked up the win, upping his record to 2-1. Anbrosio Mera took the loss. John Bennett sewed up the save, his 1st.

Axel Ruschmeyer tagged a home run off Todd Serrano in the bottom of the third. His grand slam blast put the Racers on top, 5-3. In all, Ruschmeyer had 2 singles in addition to the home run, while going 3 for 5.

In postgame comments, Ruschmeyer told the Indianapolis Bulletin: "Do people still doubt I give 100 percent?"

Indianapolis improves to 53-34 with the win. They lead their division by 3 games.
