Indianapolis beat Pennsauken on the strength of starter Odmar van Hees's fine effort. The right-hander led his team to a 4-2 win. Indianapolis reliever Anthony Hood was the winner. His record is now 4-2. The losing pitcher was Claudio Martínez. Indianapolis leads the Menard's AAA by 3˝ games.
Indianapolis used the timely hitting of Ruby Rhod to seize the win. The left fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Racers on top, 2-1. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"We did enough to win," said Rhod.
