The Houston BC defeated the Sioux Falls Red Pandas, 6-3, at The Bamboo Forest. Houston left fielder Juan Macíel was named player of the game for his superb performance. He went 2 for 5 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 4. Joel Walden got credit for the win, improving to 4-8. He allowed 2 runs on 8 hits in 7 innings. Francisco Esposo converted his 2nd save in 2 tries.

Houston took a 5-1 lead on Macíel's 3rd double of the season. The bases-clearing double, which he hit off Billy Brooks in the top of the seventh, propelled Houston to the win.

"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Macíel told the Houston Gazette.

Houston occupies 5th place in the Menard's AAA at 42-38.
