Coyotes Beat Racers in 11
|
The Hamilton Coyotes picked up a win at Speedway Field, knocking off the Indianapolis Racers, 3-0. Starting pitcher Jeffrey van Veldhuizen, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason why. Hansky Paillant earned the save for Hamilton, his 1st of the year. The Coyotes raised their record to 29-43.
In his 109-pitch effort, van Veldhuizen allowed no earned runs on 5 hits over 8 innings. He walked 2 and struck out 6.
In postgame remarks, van Veldhuizen simply said: "Here's to a great win!"
