Delgado Slugs 84s to 8-3 Win

It was a fun time at 84s Field, where the Boston Patriots and Greenville 84s tangled.
The Greenville 84s defeated the Boston Patriots, 8-3, at 84s Field today. Leading the charge for Greenville was catcher Ángelo Delgado. He belted 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. Neil Franson earned the win to go to 1-3. He allowed no earned runs on 1 hits, with no walks and 4 strikeouts.
Delgado had a key at-bat for Greenville early in the game. With a runner on 1st, he hit a 2-run home run. It was his 10th home run of the season and gave Greenville an early 2-0 lead.
Delgado called winning a team effort. "It's not the same guy every time," he said. "It's the sum of the parts."
The 84s now own a record of 18-16.
