Buzz Fall Short, 4-3, at Sioux Falls
|
Sioux Falls designated hitter Félix Romero picked up 3 ribbies while helping his team beat back the Salt Lake City Buzz, 4-3. Sioux Falls, now 35-32, holds 7th place in the Menard's AAA.
Romero contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Sioux Falls in the bottom of the fifth. With his team trailing 3-1, Romero took a fastball from Guillermo Guerrero and stroked the home run to left-center. His 10th home run of the season allowed the Red Pandas to leap in front, 4-3.
"I'll probably toss and turn tonight," Salt Lake City manager Greg Keys said following the tough loss.
