Ellenburg Beats Pennsauken, 6-2
|
The Ellenburg Fighting Dachsunds defeated the Pennsauken Flyers, 6-2, at Pennsauken Park. Ellenburg center fielder Leslie Small was named player of the game for his superb performance. He went 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Ellenburg is now 29-33.
Ellenburg used a timely hit from Bob Blough to get the win. The second baseman delivered a run-scoring triple in the top of the fifth inning to put the Fighting Dachsunds on top, 2-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"We took advantage of our opportunities," Small told the Ellenburg Daily. "It's as simple as that."
