Racers Jolt BC with Late Rally

The Houston BC got a superb performance from pitcher Joel Walden. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Indianapolis. The Racers won the game, 4-2. In spite of the loss, Walden was named the player of the game. He threw 6 innings allowing 2 runs. Indianapolis reliever Eddo Mud picked up the win, upping his record to 3-1. Ken Peterson was saddled with the loss. The Racers, at 37-22, have now won 5 straight.
The outcome might have been different for Indianapolis, had it not been for Chris Walters, the 30-year old catcher . Walters stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the eighth inning to put Indianapolis up, 3-2. For the game, he was 2 for 4, including 1 double and 1 single.
"Slowly but surely, the wins are piling up," said Walters.
