Victory Over BC Takes Northern Virginia to 22-9
|
Northern Virginia pitcher Ricardo García did his part in helping his team beat the Philadelphia 1776 BC, 4-3. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Bobby Ruegsegger picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 1-0. Juriaan Roos was tagged with the loss. The Rainbow Mermaids bumped their record to 22-9 with this latest triumph.
José Santos, who is tied for 9th in the PL in RBI with 24, aided the Northern Virginia cause with a run-scoring triple in the bottom of the seventh. For the game, the shortstop went 2 for 3 with a triple.
"We'll grab a cold one tonight and go after another win tomorrow," García said.
