It was a good time at KC Reserve Stadium, where fans came to watch the Houston BC and Athletic Club KC Reserves get after it.
Athletic Club KC starter Salvador Sagastizabal pitched effectively against the Houston BC at KC Reserve Stadium. The right-hander led his team to a 4-1 win. Sagastizabal got the win, improving to 4-2. He allowed 3 hits and walked 1 over 7.1 innings. Sagastizabal allowed 1 earned run. Rafael Narváez got credit for the save for Athletic Club KC. It was his 6th of the year.
Shou-xin Quian had a big run-scoring double for the Reserves in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Athletic Club KC leading 1-0 and a runner on 2nd, he got a changeup from Patrick Ibáñez and stroked the double to right-center. It was his 1st double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Reserves ahead, 2-0.
"We'll savor this win," Quian told the Athletic Club KC Daily News, "then get ready for the next game."
With the win, the Reserves improved to 16-15.
