Loss Extends Las Vegas Losing Streak
|
The Las Vegas Flamingos got a sterling performance from left fielder Jody Clark, but the Silver Sox still prevailed, 4-2. Clark was named the player of the game in a losing cause. He was 2-4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 times. Chicago reliever Ismael Riddles picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Enrique Valle took the loss. Shang-de Fu, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 10th save.
Chicago catcher Fortunato Rasquinha laid a blow when he belted a solo home run in the top of the third. It was his 5th home run of the season. With it, the Silver Sox took a 1-0 lead.
"Enjoyed this one," Rasquinha told the Chicago Daily. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
Las Vegas has now lost 6 consecutive games.
