Extra-Inning Win by Dogfish Head over Buzz
|
Despite a great performance by Salt Lake City shortstop Alvin Peterson, the Milton Dogfish Head defeated the Buzz by the score of 7-6 at Spirits Stadium. Peterson went 3 for 4 with a home run and a double, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Vadim Rajnev nailed down his 3rd save. With the win, Milton improves its record to 10-10.
Milton used the clutch hitting of Johnny Carter to capture the win. The center fielder drilled a run-scoring double in the top of the tenth inning to give the Dogfish Head the lead, 7-6. For the game, Carter had 1 single and 1 double in 4 at-bats.
"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Carter.
