Flyers Edge Coyotes, 5-4
|
Pennsauken Flyers starter Joshua Neal was in a groove as he led his team to a win over the Hamilton Coyotes, 5-4. Neal, now 2-1, was the winner. In 5 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 7, walking 5, and allowing 2 earned runs. Jules Goux got credit for the save for Pennsauken. It was his 2nd of the year.
Lorenzo Trujillo put Pennsauken in front, 4-2, when he took Jesús Castillo downtown. His 3-run home run came with one out in the bottom of the third. It was his 2nd home run of the season.
"If you want to be considered a good team, these are the kind of games you have to win," said Pennsauken manager Willis Crawford.
Hamilton, at 4-15, is off to a poor start in 2039.
