Milton and Salt Lake City played a hard-fought contest at Spirits Stadium.
Getting an impressive start from Jason MacGruder, Milton beat Salt Lake City by the score of 3-1. Milton has a record of 9-10.
One important at-bat came with runners on 2nd and 3rd in the top of the third inning. Facing Salt Lake City hurler Tony Smehrik, Juan Martínez, who is tied for 9th in the 3AAA with a .430 on-base percentage, drew a walk. The Dogfish Head went on to win.
"I tell our guys all the time, 'Every pitch is the right pitch if you put it in the right place, you believe in it and have conviction,'" Milton manager Craig Sunter said.
