Victory Over Dogfish Head Takes Houston to 8-5
|
It was a good time at Houston Park, where fans came to watch the Milton Dogfish Head and Houston BC get after it.
Getting an impressive start from Bernardo López, Houston beat Milton by the score of 5-1. With the win, Houston improves its record to 8-5.
Kamakakoa Kaponianani was 1-4 with a walk for Houston. The 26-year old center fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the second. With two out and the bases loaded, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring walk off Awad Mahmudnizhad. It was his 3rd walk of the season.
In postgame comments to the Houston Gazette, López said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
