Multi-HR Day for Castellanos as Evergreens Overpower Rainbow Mermaids, 6-5
The Portland Evergreens defeated the Northern Virginia Rainbow Mermaids, 6-5, at Atlantica today. Leading the charge for Portland was left fielder Félix Castellanos. He hit 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. The win was Branlyn Jaraba's in relief. His record improves to 2-1. Kent Randall took the loss for Northern Virginia. Keith Rojas, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 1st save.

The game was all tied up in the top of the ninth, until Castellanos delivered big-time for Portland, stroking a dramatic solo home run off Kent Randall. The game-changing hit put the Evergreens on top, 6-5.

"I'm just happy to help the team win," Castellanos told the Portland Gazette.

The Evergreens now have a mark of 9-18.
