Browns Bridle Knights, 2-1
|
Cleveland beat Kingston Township on the strength of starter Gerald Orlebar's fine effort. The left-hander led his team to a 2-1 win. Martín García earned the save, his 2nd. The Knights fall to 7-13 and continue their lackluster start to the 2039 season.
With two out in the bottom of the fourth, Spartak Gonjarov had a game-changing hit. The Browns right fielder slammed a 2-run single off Pete Rhue, making the score 2-1, Cleveland.
Gonjarov said the team appreciates the support from the fans. "I'm glad we could reward them with a good win," he said after the game.
