Big Day at the Plate for Nada Not Enough for Browns
|
Cleveland designated hitter Surender Nada had a good game in a losing cause. His team fell, 7-5, to Montana at Factory of Sadness. Nada hit 2 home runs, while scoring 3 times and driving in 3. Arturo Guerrero, credited with the win, is now 1-1. He allowed 4 runs on 7 hits in 6.1 innings. Nésto Gago picked up the save for Montana, his 1st of the year.
Montana needed the clutch hitting of Shohei Otani to notch the win. The first baseman hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Pandas on top, 5-1. For the game, Otani had 1 home run and 2 singles in 5 at-bats.
"Where are all my critics now?" said Otani. "Tell them they know where to find me."
With the win, Montana elevates its record to 3-4.
