Dodgers Score Late, Top Knights, 3-1
|
Brooklyn starter Hermenegildo Beliago put a stranglehold on the Kingston Township offense. The left-hander had complete command of his cutter in leading the Dodgers to a 3-1 win. Ramón Granados recorded the save for Brooklyn, his 2nd of the season. Brooklyn goes to 2-0 with the win.
Brooklyn used the bat of Takashi Miike to get the win. The second baseman hammered a solo home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Dodgers ahead, 2-1. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it did its damage.
"We'll grab a cold one tonight and go after another win tomorrow," Beliago said.
