Cattlemen Continue Hot Streak with Extra-Inning Win
|
The Ft. Worth Cattlemen topped the Oakland Oaks, 4-3, in United States Silver League action at Oakland Coliseum. The player of the game was Ft. Worth pitcher and Milwaukee, Wisconsin native Noe Toepfer. The third-place Cattlemen have won 5 consecutive games.
Semo Hoaloha had a nice at-bat for the Cattlemen with no one out in the top of the 14th. With the bases empty, the designated hitter drew a walk, which would prove important in the Ft. Worth win.
"What a great win for our team," said a jubilant Scott Thompson, the Ft. Worth manager.
