Northern Lions BC Come Back Late to Top Outlaws
|
Nashville got a terrific performance from pitcher John Rigsby, but it wasn't enough to beat the Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC. Thunder Bay won the Nashville Stadium contest, 3-2. Rigsby was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He threw 6 innings of shutout ball. The Northern Lions BC raised their record to 48-57.
Ramón Padilla, who finished 4th in the SL in on-base percentage with .395 in 2036, helped out the Thunder Bay cause in the top of the eighth inning with a run-scoring triple. For the game, the shortstop was 1-3 with a triple and a walk.
"I'll probably toss and turn tonight," Nashville manager Ryan Naylor said following the tough loss.
