Lesaca Helps Charleston Cruise to 11-3 Win
The Charleston Battery topped the Long Island Lighthouse by the score of 11-3, with the biggest share of the credit going to second baseman Datu Lesaca. Lesaca went 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 5 runs and scored once for the Battery on the day. Melvin Tiburcio got the win, improving to 11-4. He pitched 7 innings, giving up 5 hits and 1 run, while striking out 3 and walking 1. Charleston goes to 61-42, Long Island to 45-58.

Lesaca put Charleston up, 10-1, when he hit a 3-run home run off Alexander Weareorwear in the bottom of the eighth. His 22nd home run of the season helped the Battery capture the win.

"We'll pop the top on a cold one and get back to work tomorrow," Lesaca said.
