The Charleston Battery topped the Buffalo White Walkers, 5-1, in United States Silver League action at Charleston Armory. The player of the game was Charleston pitcher Eric Matson. Chenor Njie, credited with the save, is now 1 for 2 in save opportunities. Charleston now sits in second place in the Silver League at 59-40.

The fans who came in support of the Battery were pleased with the outcome. It was what they had hoped for when they passed through the turnstiles at Charleston Armory.

"I'm proud of the way our guys played today to come out with this win," Matson told the Charleston Gazette.
