Despite a fine performance by designated hitter Semo Hoaloha, the Ft. Worth Cattlemen suffered a 5-3 loss to the Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC. Hoaloha went 2 for 4 with 2 home runs. Jefferson Suhendro earned his 7th save in 9 tries. Thunder Bay, at 46-53, occupies 7th place in the Silver League.
A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. In the top of the sixth, with the game tied, An-te-hai Qing was at the plate when Thunder Bay scored 1 on an error. The miscue enabled the Northern Lions BC to go in front, 3-2.
"It's nice to come out on top today," said Qing.
