Kashani, Dirty Reds Clobber Cattlemen

The San Mateo Dirty Reds relied on the hitting of left fielder Zahid Kashani to stop the Ft. Worth Cattlemen, 10-2. For the game, Kashani went 3 for 3 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 3 times and driving in 2. The Dirty Reds, at 47-49, sit in 5th place in the Silver League.
In the bottom of the eighth, Ashley Thachi stood in the box, looking for a pitch to hammer. The Cattlemen were trailing 9-2, but had the bases loaded. That's when José Barquero made a terrific pitch and Thachi flied out. Gone was the dream of a Ft. Worth comeback.
