Brenton Jenkins Hurt, Out for Year Saturday, May 29th, 2038 The doctors have spoken and Brenton Jenkins of the Athletic Club KC U-21 didn't like what he heard. The 18-year-old starting pitcher is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Jenkins sustained his season-ending injury during the Amarillo Submarinos game yesterday at Terriers Ballpark. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Athletic Club KC medical staff reported Jenkins had a torn labrum and would be absent from the lineup for at least 6-7 months. |
