Keightley Sizzles with 25-Game Batting Streak Sunday, July 18th, 2038 With 2 hits at Ballpark of Albuquerque today, Harold Keightley added another game to his hitting streak -- the Germantown center fielder has now hit safely for 25 games in a row. But the hitting feat wasn't enough for the Uruguayans today, as they fell, 8-0, to the Amarillo Submarinos. "Frankly, I don't care about hits," Amarillo manager Seth Rice said later. "I'll let him get 4 hits in 4 at-bats if it means we get a win." Harold Keightley flied out in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, flied out in the 5th and singled in the 8th. This year Keightley is batting .276 with 61 hits and 1 home run. He has scored 19 times and has batted in 21 runs. |
