Stroud Sensational, 5-for-5 Tuesday, August 31st, 2038 Montgomery center fielder Beau Stroud went down swinging at Ballpark of Wellsville today, knocking out 5 hits even as his Biscuits fell, 10-5. "It was like I was hitting Little League pitching," Stroud said after his 5-for-5 performance against the Ladue Rams. "No offense meant to Ladue, but it was like I was back in little league again -- I could see the ball that well." After the game, his manager elaborated on the center fielder's improvements, saying Stroud spent the offseason trying to shorten his swing and stay inside the ball. "That's what I'm trying to do," Stroud agreed. "Be quick to the ball and let it travel a little farther so I get a better look at it." Beau Stroud singled in the 1st, hit an RBI double in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th and tripled in the 8th.
