Best PR Pitcher Announced Friday, September 25th, 2037 Govaart van Ankeren was overpowering this season for the Long Island Ducks and earned the 2037 USPL Rookie Pitcher of the Year Award for his efforts. In a standout year he went 13-1 in 23 starts with 256 strikeouts in 141.1 innings and a 1.34 ERA. He received 10 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Pepe Fontirroig of the Valley View Cougars finished second in voting, while John Sawyer of the Long Island Ducks finished third.
