Long Island Narrowly Wins Premier R Monday, September 7th, 2037 The Long Island Ducks feel they will be riding a wave of momentum after clinching the Premier R title in the final game of the season. "We showed our true character to get this done so late in the season," said reliever Govaart van Ankeren. "It's certainly a relief - better late than never." The club's 63-33 record is what has led to the 2nd division title in team history. Team manager Luis Díaz had an ear-to-ear grin when the clinch became official. "That's a weight off my shoulders, that's for sure," he said. "It's time to bring the 1st PL R Championchip championship to Long Island." |
