Valdéz Wins Best Bat Award in August Wednesday, September 1st, 2038 Alfredo Valdéz is not used to being associated with Batter of the Month-caliber players, but today the Tulsa second baseman joined that select company when the USPL Rookie announced the results of August's voting. Valdéz totaled 26 hits, 4 walks, 6 home runs, 22 RBIs and 11 runs scored last month to put together a .302 batting average and .333 on-base percentage. In his stats this season, Valdéz has posted a batting average of .277 with 97 hits in 350 at-bats, 15 home runs and 65 RBIs. He has also scored 46 runs, walked 40 times and compiled a .353 OBP. |
