Pagán Misbehaves, Suspended 4 Games Friday, August 20th, 2038 Jorge Pagán of the Memphis Music has been reprimanded and given a 4-game suspension for a shouting match with the plate umpire during a recent game at Hillandale Grounds with the Valley View Cougars. The Music shortstop said he didn't touch the umpire, but the umpire insisted he did. "I didn't see it, I didn't feel it," Pagán said. "I was trying everything I could not to make contact with him. The league always sides with umpires. There is no use to appeal." Presently Pagán is hitting .225 with 3 home runs and 22 RBIs. He has played in 82 games and scored 28 times. |
