Year Ends for Lucas van Halteren in Ft. Polk South
Tuesday, August 10th, 2038
When Lucas van Halteren was hurt against the Springfield Shooters, the Ft. Polk South Thunder Hawks were hopeful that the injury was not serious. However, it proved to be more severe than first thought. The 22-year-old starting pitcher suffered a torn rotator cuff throwing a pitch in yesterday's game. Team doctors told BNN today that van Halteren would miss 13-14 months of the season.

On the season van Halteren has compiled a 4-8 mark with a 6.50 ERA in 16 starts. In pitching 70.2 innings he has 49 strikeouts and 33 walks while limiting the opposition to a .319 batting average.
