Grant Bashes 5 Base Hits Friday, September 3rd, 2038 It was a great day at the plate for Jamal Grant. For his Virginia Beach Whales, the day was not nearly as good. The center fielder collected 5 hits in 5 tries, but his club still came up short in the win column. The Phoenix Hotspur Youth snatched the victory, topping the Whales by a score of 18-6. "Well that wasn't how it was supposed to end," Grant said later. "I'll just have to do it again and get it right." Jamal Grant singled in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, hit an RBI double in the 5th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 8th.
