Leobardo Wins SAA Player of the Week Honors Monday, August 9th, 2038 24-year-old Ánibal Leobardo made a few Irving headlines during this past week as the rookie center fielder proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and USSL Double A officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 7 hits in 12 at-bats to put up a .583 average. Leobardo collected 2 home runs, 6 RBIs and scored 9 runs. This season Leobardo has hit at a .360 clip with 15 RBIs, 3 home runs and 15 runs scored. He has played in 12 games. |
