SAA's Best Player, Anaya of Olympia Monday, July 26th, 2038 So far in his young career, Gabriel Anaya has kept a low profile, but after his performance at the plate last week, he attracted the notice of the rest of the USSL Double A in a big way as he was named the Player of the Week today for his efforts. The 20-year-old Olympia Ogres center fielder hit at a torrid .588 clip as he collected 10 hits in 17 at-bats, no home runs, 3 RBIs and 2 runs scored. This year Anaya is hitting .296, produced 11 RBIs and 1 home runs, scored 25 times and gotten on base at a .361 rate. |
